(Laughing in the Spirit)

*[[Psa 126:1-2/KJ2000]]* 1. When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. 2. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the nations, The LORD has done great things for them.

Laughing in the Spirit is one of the most criticized phenomenon. Sometimes, a person under the influence of the Holy Spirit laughs hysterically. This kind of laughter doesn't occur because there is something funny going on in the person's environment. But it is inspired by the Spirit of God as a confirmatory sign or a note of victory. 

In the natural, people usually laugh in celebration, when they achieve something or as a way of mocking an adversary. Hence in our opening scripture, the Psalmist tells us that their mouth was filled with laughter when God turned around their fortune.

Similarly, although we may not be able to see what God is doing for or in someone who is being prayed for, He sometimes give them outward signs such as laughter to indicate the end of their predicament.

Personally, this is a common phenomenon that marks my ministry. 

*[[Isa 61:3]] KJ2000* ...to give unto them beauty for ashes, THE OIL OF JOY FOR MOURNING,... that he (God) might be glorified.

On many occasions, some people who receive the laughter come back with testimonies such as being healed from all manner of ailments including depression and being saved from suicide.

Beloved, know that the kingdom of God is about you being filled with joy in the Holy Ghost. 

*[[Rom 14:17]] KJ2000* For the kingdom of God is not food and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
