*[[2Co 9:5]] ISV* Therefore, I thought it necessary to urge
these brothers to visit you ahead of me, to make arrangements in advance for
this gift you promised, and to have it ready as something given generously and
not forced.
We usually budget for our expenses. But often, we forget to
aportion some money for giving.
Whether in the church, community or family, we shall
encounter folks who really need some help. We don't have to wait till we are
coerced to give.
Look around you and identify some needs, then plan to meet
those needs. Planning ahead shows your willingness to give. Concerning Jesus,
the bible says He is "the Lamb of God that was slain from the foundations
of the earth". This shows God's willigness to redeem creation.
Don't give as a religious activity to seek God's approval.
Give because it is in your nature. It is your lifestyle. For all things are yours.
