THE WILL OF GOD VERSUS YOUR WILLINGNESS:

*[[Rom 12:2]] KJ2000* And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Many books have been written concerning the will of God. I have seen people do and say some absurd things because of "the will of God". For instance i went for a church service one day. There was a man using a walking stick. The preacher called him and after praying for a while without anything happening, he asked the man,  "do you have faith to be healed?" The man response in the affirmative and the prayers continued. After a while he said to the congregation, "It is not the will of God for this man to be healed." i left the service brokenhearted with this on my mind, "Today, God was not willing to heal a sick person."

You see, the will of God is not a mystery. It is not something obscure that we have to sweat blood and starve in order to earn it.

There are so many people hiding away in mountains in the name of "waiting on God" to know His  "perfect will". Others are waiting for some sought of vision or "word" from God before they do anything. They are quick to quote the Bible without understanding, to support this action. A popular passage is this...

*[[Joh 5:19]] KJ2000* Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do: for whatsoever things he does, these also does the Son likewise.

Look carefully, although the verse was written in the present continuous tense, Jesus was not saying that he waits for God to do something in the present before He (Jesus) does something. No! The message Jesus was communicating was this, "It is Papa God's nature to heal the sick and do any good deed. I have been with Him long enough to know His modus operandi and i know that i am like my Father so i can do what He does - goodness".

Let us look at the context in which Jesus spoke and you will understand that he was not waiting for Papa God to reveal His "mysterious" will before acting...

*[[Joh 5:21]] KJ2000* For as the Father raises up the dead, and gives them life; EVEN SO THE SON GIVES LIFE *TO WHOM HE WILL.*

Did you see that?  The son gives life to whoever He wills. Why? Simply because the Father is a life giver. In other words Jesus is the one who decides who specifically he wants to heal, not the Father. Because the Father wants everyone to enjoy everything that will restore them to wholeness (salvation).

Still not convinced? Let's see another scripture...

*[[Act 10:38]] BSB* how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.

So Jesus went about DOING GOOD and HEALING ALL because Papa God was with Him. What does it tell us? It tells us that "God is good ALL THE TIME TO ALL PEOPLE so there is no special time for Papa God to do good for the Bible admonishes...

*[[Pro 3:27-28/NET]]* 27. Do not withhold good from those who need it, when you have the ability to help. 28. Do not say to your neighbor, “Go! Return tomorrow and I will give it,” when you have it with you at the time.

So how can God postpone His goodness? And because he is with us always, we are empowered to bring wholeness to EVERYONE who needs it.

jesus showed up at the pool to prove to us that the time of angelic ministration, which required people to wait for a stirring, is over. The time is always ripe to do good (John 5:1-10)

*[[2Co 6:2]] NET* For he says, “I heard you at the acceptable time, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Look, now is the acceptable time; look, now is the day of salvation!

Just as Jesus demonstrated that He is like the Father, the same way we are. Jesus is an example OF US not FOR US. As He is, so are we.

It is time to operate with the faith of God as His dear children. Let's go for a lesson from Moses...

The Israelites got to the sea and there was no way of escape. Pharaoh with his army was charging towards them. Then Moses did what we have been taught to do - pray to God or wait on God. But what was God's response?

*[[Exo 14:15-16/KJ2000]]* 15. And the LORD said unto Moses, Why do you cry unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: 16. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

You see, we might think that it is up to God but as far as God is concerned, it is up to us. He has equipped us with all things pertaining to life and godliness including every spiritual blessing. At the end it all comes down to our willingness to be who we have been made to be.

I have said before that there is nothing like three different will of God where one is good, the other acceptable and the other perfect. What our opening verse is saying is that the will of God is first of all good and perfectly/totally acceptable by Papa God.

Finally, i want to rest my case on this note...

*[[Eph 2:10]] BSB* For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.

You see, we have been ordained to do good works as our lifestyle. You don't need permission from anyone to live your way of life. So let's live life this way....

*[[Mat 10:8]] YLT* infirm ones be healing, lepers be cleansing, dead be raising, demons be casting out--freely ye did receive, freely give.

    Selah!!!
