[NLT] Colossians 2:17 For these rules are only
shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.
"Listen , read John 14, if you love me, keep my
commandment, let that be your obsession other than so called new creation
realities, stick to the basic commandment."
The quote above is the comment someone wrote to my
status on Facebook. Usually, I don't want to get into arguement with folks so I
choose not to reply to some of these comments. But you see, our opening
scripture tells us that the Old rules/Laws (All the 613 laws plus the
"big" 10) were a shadow of a reality to come. And this reality is
Jesus.
In 2 Corinthians 5:17, we see that since we are in
Jesus, then we are New Creations. So if we have realities in Jesus and you are
a New Creation in Jesus, then what should be your focus? I believe you would
like to know the realities concerning the New Creation in Christ. Wouldn't you?
Beloved, the reality is here. Stop chasing after the
shadow. Jesus asked us to enter into His rest. So since we love Him, let us do
just that. Cease from your works and accept the Good News. Stick to the New
Creation Realities. Shalom!!!
