PREACH THE UNVEILED MYSTERY - JESUS (part 1)

*[[Col 1:26-27/WMTH]]* 26. the truth which has been kept secret from all ages and generations, but has now been revealed to His people,  27. to whom it was His will to make known how vast a wealth of glory for the Gentile world is implied in this truth–the truth that `CHRIST IS IN YOU, the hope of glory.'

Until the Church focuses on the message she has been given, there is going to be a lot of activities but little success in terms of her mandate.

Paul did not mince words when he was spelling out the purpose or mission of the Church - namely, proclaiming Jesus Christ in union with humanity.

You see,  Paul tells us that our union with Christ is not something that is going to happen in the sweet by and by. Instead, Christ has been in humanity since the beginning of time. But man had been walking on in ignorance not knowing that he is a bundle of glorious things.

"So Bro Afriyie, are you saying that Jesus is in every one? Including the Moslem, Buddhist, Atheist and Traditionalist? Aren't they supposed to first invite Jesus into their hearts?" My dear, that is the truth, Christ is in everybody. And no, we don't need to invite in someone who is already in. Jesus tells it Himself in this parable...

*[[Mat 13:44]] BSB* The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and in his joy he went and sold all he had and bought that field.

In this parable, the field represents the human race (heart of man) and the treasure is Jesus Christ who is the express image of God. Notice that the treasure was already hidden in the field by the time the man got there. The treasure is what gave value to the field, causing the man to sell all he had to buy the field. The same way, Papa God gave His all to unveil His image in humanity. Later, Paul would tell us how and when he discovered this truth of Christ in humanity....

*[[Gal 1:15-16/WMTH]]* 15. But when He who set me apart even from my birth, and called me by His grace, 16. saw fit TO REVEAL HIS SON WITHIN ME in order that I might tell among the Gentiles the Good News concerning Him...

Did you see that? Paul doesn't say Christ was revealed TO HIM but WITHIN HIM. Then he tells us that this is the Good News he proclaims....

*[[Col 1:28]] WMTH* HIM WE PREACH, admonishing every one and instructing every one, with all possible wisdom, so that we may bring every one into God's presence, made perfect through Christ.

Beloved, this is the Gospel we have been entrusted with - to unveil Christ in the nations (people). We have not been sent to unveil sin but Christ Jesus. Shalom!!!
