YOU HAVE FORGIVENESS FOR YOUR SINS

*[[Mat 9:2]] BBE* And they took to him a man stretched on a bed who had no power of moving; and Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the man who was ill, Son, take heart; you have forgiveness for your sins.

Oh, what peace of heart and mind these words will bring to sickness laden men and women - "You have forgiveness for your sins".

Sin consciousness is weighing a lot of God's children down. It has taken the power and joy out of them. Some think God is punishing them for sins they may have committed. The psychiatric hospital is packed with folks who would not have been there in the first place, had they heard these words from a spouse, a friend or a relative. The hospital wards are overflowing with folks whose bodies guilt is eating away. If only they would hear how Jesus has provided for their sins they would be made whole.

The sick man came to Jesus for healing of the body, but Jesus knew what he needed most was forgiveness of his sins. This is the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ. The consciousness of sin had made this man's spirit downcast within him, giving way for death to crawl into his body. But because Jesus knew that a merry heart does good as medicine, He said to him, "Be of good cheer, take heart, be courageous for your sins are forgiven you"

Beloved, be of good cheer, for your sins are forgiven you. So spread the joy. Tell as many as you meet that their sins have been forgiven. If you hold a grudge against someone, go ahead and let the love of God release that person by telling them of their forgiveness. Shalom!!!
