THE BIBLE & THE HOLY SPIRIT (part 1):

*[[Joh 14:26]] KJV* But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things...

Some folks want to be so limited by the written code that they ignore the greater works Jesus talked about. You see this when they ask, "Is this in the Bible?" or "can you give some scripture reference?" In the first place  scholars (some of them did not even believe the gospel) picked and chose the books contained in the Bible you use.

Also, at the time Paul said "...All scripture is given by the inspiration of God...", his writings were not even considered as scripture. They were considered as 'inspirational' books. Just as we do books of Kenneth Hagin, Oyedepo, Joseph Prince, etc.

But thank God for the Holy Spirit who leads us into ALL TRUTH. The greater works Jesus talked about are not in the pages of the Bible - They are the outward expressions of the Word-made-flesh in us.

"So Brother Akwesi are you saying we should throw away our bibles?" Far from that! I wouldn't have known and appreciated the New Creation had I not read about the creation of the First Adam. While the Bible does not contain everything about the New Creation, the Holy Spirit does not contradict what is in it. Rather, He reveals Christ in the pages and shows us how Christ is the fulfillment and point/subject of the scripture. Though scripture was not written to us, it is profitable for us in pointing out the glorious work God wroth in Christ Jesus to bring redemption to humanity (so that any understanding of the Bible you have that does not glorify Jesus but man's effort is inaccurate).

Beloved, greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world. You have the wonderful counselor in you - the greatest teacher is in you. For no man knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. The 'Reveal-er' is in you. Shalom!!!
