[NIV] Colossians 1:25 I have become its servant by the
commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness...
A lot of people have different ideas about what the Word of
God is. Some say the Word of God is the Bible. Others say a bit of Law and a
bit of Grace gives you a complete picture of the Word. These are all good ideas
but not 'God- ideas'.
The Apostle to the Gentiles, Paul, said he had been chosen
by God to present the Word of God in its fullness to the Gentiles. He said that
this fullness he talked about was hidden but has now been revealed through him.
Even the Apostles who walked with Jesus before Paul did not know the fullness
of God's Word. And what is this fullness? Paul answers that;
[NIV] Colossians 1:26-27: the mystery that has been kept
hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To
them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of
this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Beloved, the purpose of preaching and teaching is to reveal
Christ in you. He is not far away from you, but one in spirit with you. Christ
in His glory, splendor, beauty, holiness, omnipotence and righteousness lives
in you. Christ who is full of Grace and Truth is in you. It is not about your
ability, but the ability of Christ.This is the fullness of the Word of God.
This Gospel ignites Christ consciousness in you and empowers
you to live above sin, guilt, condemnation and life challanges. It plunges you
into an eternity of joy and ecstacy in the Holy Ghost. Greater is He that is in
you than he that is in the world. Meditate on this. Shalom!!!
