THE GREAT TRIBULATION 2 (Days of Vengeance)

Now when the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been violently killed because of the word of God and because of the testimony they had given.  10. They cried out with a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Master, holy and true, before you judge those who live on the earth and avenge our blood?”  11. Each of them was given a long white robe and they were told to rest for a little longer, until the full number was reached of both their fellow servants and their brothers who were going to be killed just as they had been.

Some folks believe that the 7 Churches mentioned in Revelation stand for 7 Church ages. According to them, we are now in the 7th Church age, namely the Laodician age where there is lukewarmness in the Church. As far as they are concerned, the events from Revelations 4 onwards are yet to begin. But we will see that that is further from the truth.

From our opening scripture, we see that when the fifth seal was opened, those who were killed between the temple and altar began to petition God for their revenge. But they were told to rest until more saints were matyred.

So if the vengeance is supposed to come upon the generation Jesus was talking to (Matt 23:35-36), then it should be clear by now that;

1. We are not in any Church age. Instead, the 7 Churches existed during John's time.

2. Since the vengeance had not taken place yet at the time of the fifth seal, then the target group still existed.

3. So far the events from Revelations 1-6 are in our past. We don't have to expect them in the future.

I believe by now you have loads of questions and you are revisiting your eschatology. Then my objective has been met.
